Advocate Anjan Datta is in active practice of law for last 16 years. He is a First-Generation Advocate in the Supreme Court of India. He started his practice before the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta and has worked with almost all senior Advocates. He specializes in Criminal Law and handles cases pertaining to Anti-Corruption Laws, Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), Serious Fraud Investigation, Economic Offences, Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), Customs Act, FEMA, corporate frauds, cyber law, Official Secrets Act, medico-legal cases, Matrimonial matters and White-Collar Crimes. He also expertise in the field of Information Technology & Cyber Law and advices wide range of companies and service providers in this filed. He has appeared and argued before almost all the High Courts in India and has represented clients from different sphere of lives. He has appeared pro bono and also as amicus curiae in several matters. He has also represented the State of West Bengal and other statutory bodies on several occasions.
Apart from dispute resolution, he has substantial experience in corporate advisory work including shareholder’s disputes, insolvency and bankruptcy laws, Corporate-Criminal liability, white-collar crimes involving CBI, ED and Customs. He is also proficient at handling a variety of commercial disputes for high net-worth individuals, particularly in the area of corporate frauds.

Advocate Anjan Datta has also been involved in editing several legal journals including Calcutta High Court Notes (CHN) and presently he is the Managing Editor of “Eastern Criminal Notes” (ECRN), a widely circulated legal journal on criminal law.
Mr.
Anjan Datta has an excellent academic career, he stood First in (H.S +2) Exam in Tripura Board of Secondary Education under Commerce Stream. He has obtained his law degree from the hallowed University of Calcutta with flying colours. He has also done specialization in Cyber Law from the Asian Law School & Govt. Law College Mumbai.
